IDEA was founded in 2000 as a single school with 150 students in the Rio Grande Valley. When interest exceeded building capacity, to meet the demands, IDEA’s co-founders committed to serving more students in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas and beyond. We now serve nearly 53,000 students across Texas and Louisiana. By 2022, IDEA will serve 100,000 students. What does the Program Team do?  
 
The Program Team is responsible for designing and developing the curriculum for all courses in all states in which we operate IDEA schools.  We create the unit maps, long-term plans, assessments, and supplemental resources that teachers use to deliver outstanding lessons every day.  We also train teachers and school leaders throughout the year to ensure they know how to implement the curriculum.  
 
What will our amazing new Program Team Intern do?  
 
Our Program Team Intern will become an integral part of our National Team through the following: 

• Working closely with the VP of Curriculum & Instruction to manage calendars and ensure effective partnerships with leaders throughout the organization
• Book team travel and reconcile expenses through Business Office processes and procedures
• Input assessments in the assessment management systems in all states
• Develop the internal website used by the team to ensure smooth team operations
• Work on special projects, as assigned

• Highly proficient with the use of computer, web and mobile technology 
• Excellent communication skills

Qualifications: 

• Currently enrolled in college/university with a GPA of 3.0 or higher (preferred) 
• Authorized to work in the U.S. 
• Passion for working for underserved communities 
• Able to commit to working at least 20 hours/week 

Job Specifications 

• Location: Remote 
• Hours: Up to 40/week 
• Pay Rate: $10/hour
