Regional Literacy Coach

 

Position Overview: The goal of the Regional Literacy Coach is the improvement of instructional clarity, content and execution of a strong conceptual ELA approach, ensuring that school performance continually outpaces the rate of expansion of the district, through building the content and curricular capacities of regional principals and leaders. The Regional Literacy Coach will expand the knowledge, skills and toolkits of all campus leaders to ensure ELA classrooms are optimum to engage all students in the learning.

Location: This is a full-time position based in Forth Worth, Texas with preference given to candidates who live in Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or who are willing to relocate. 

 

Compensation & Benefits:

Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $66,600 and $80,600, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for a performance bonus based on team performance and goal attainment.

In this role you will:

  •              Develop and lead quality Professional Development for Leaders and Teachers: Implement school based and regional professional development   
  •              Regularly analyze quantitative and qualitative data at academies and college preps across the region to identify instructional gaps in ELA instruction and achievement.   
  •              Design and partner with academic services team to provide timely professional development that increases the ability of teachers and leaders to meet ambitious academic goals in ELA

 

Goals:

As part of the Regional Schools Team, you will contribute to reaching the following ambitious goals:

  •              90% Approaching | 60% Meets | 30% Mastered on Reading/ELA STAAR/EOC 
  •              Average student growth in Reading meets or exceeds 1.5 years
  •              100% of business partners report being ‘satisfied’ or ‘highly satisfied’ with services
  •              100% of campuses achieve distinction in ELA

 

Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred 

Experience: 

  • At least 3 years of full time ELA teaching experience
  • Proven track record of achieving success in the K-12 setting
  • Experience coaching others required
