Regional Manager, Out of School Time Programs

Grant Funded Position - IAWA (or ESSER)

 

 

Position Overview: 

IDEA Florida and IPS Enterprises seek a Regional Manager to join the Out of School Time Programs Team (OSPT). This role will report to a site-based administrator and provide matrix supervisory support for teachers and part-time staff members providing out of school time academic enrichment programing. The Regional Manager ensures that all campuses offering grant funded programs provide a high-quality experience for scholars and families in two core areas- Academic Support and Enrichment. Functional responsibilities of the role also include adhering to data tracking, recording and reporting deadlines and other requirements as set forth by the district and funding entity.

 

This is a full-time on-site position based in Florida, with preference given to candidates who live in the Jacksonville region, or who are willing to relocate. This role will require up to approximately 15% travel annually. Typically, this will look like travel for team quarterlies (3 per year), large event support, and occasional monthly travel. This is a grant funded position and funding may be extended. A grant-funded position has no guarantee of ongoing and indefinite employment. All duties and responsibilities tied to this position are allowable and allocable to the grant.

 

Compensation & Benefits:

Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $66,626 and $80,618, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for a performance bonus based on individual and organizational performance and goal attainment.

In this role you will work with a portfolio of campuses to:

  • Set the vision for high quality after school programming through collaboration with managing director and peer regional managers
  • Coach and Develop campus leaders and program providers through weekly check ins, quarterly strategic meetings with campus leaders, tactical calls, professional development series, tool and resource development
  • Deliver in the field support and guidance to site administrators and programming staff in planning, implementing, and sustaining all parent engagement programming
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date data trackers that communicate benchmarks and progress to specific program goals
  • Advocate, liaise and provide feedback between site administrator and campus, ensuring campus leadership teams are fully aware of program and position requirements
  • Provide timely budget reporting to all stakeholders including bi-weekly updates to tracker
  • Review all Business Office monthly reports, flag concerns and attend monthly check-in meetings
  • Conduct monthly program observations to assess and report out on quality, and course correct along the way, including regular coaching with site administrators
  • Observe and collect quantitative and qualitative evidence utilizing the tools and protocol for determining high quality
  • Initiate in the field support for the enrichment specialist professional development scope and sequence that is aligned to the high-quality vision and drives actions.
  • Partner with campus leaders, managing director and OSPT to develop strategies that increase student retention and engagement
  • Collaborate with Principals to ensure targeted recruitment of students with academic need
  • Collaborate with the managing director to maintain and drive OSPT culture

 

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in after school programming, teaching or other relevant program management
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with budget management
  • Experience differentiating communication to influence strong partnerships
  • Experience coaching, developing and influencing individuals that you are not directly managing
  • Experience with grant reporting/management

Goals:

You will be responsible for leading your team to meet the following ambitious goals:

  1. 100% of sites in the portfolio hit the student attendance and participation goals
  2. 85% Enrichment Specialist Retention across Florida
  3. 100% of sites in the portfolio are on-track for 5% variance of budget spending.
  4. 90% of programs in the portfolio are rated high quality
  5. 90% of scholars enrolled in out of school time programs in the portfolio in 2022-23 persist to FWOS in 2023-24
