Role Mission:
IDEA Public Schools’ vision is to become the largest producer of low-income college graduates. As a leading charter organization, IDEA Public Schools is on track to make this vision a reality. The Special Programs Intern is responsible for supporting administrative and logistical components of contract services. The intern will build an automated system for tracking contract services and reconciliation process to support administrative process ensuring services are rendered and paid according to IDEA Public Schools’ processes and procedures

This is a remote position based in the Rio Grande Valley.
What You’ll Do – Accountabilities
In this role you will:
- 100% of students with IEPs in the Rio Grande Valley have services met each quarter
- Create tools to track contract services provided and owed on a monthly basis
- Communicate and collaborate with contract service providers of all student services on a monthly basis
2. 100% of contract service invoices are received on time
- Communicate on a regular basis with contract service providers of deadline for invoicing
- Track invoice and service log uploads
3. 100% of contract service invoice and service logs are reconciled monthly
- Track and manage towards matching invoice and service logs, communicate discrepancies with contract service providers for correction
- Ensure 100% of service logs are uploaded and archived into Frontline/ESPED
4. 100% of contract service invoices are paid out with 30 days of invoicing
- Reconcile and approve all invoices and service logs by the 7th of each month
- Communicate and collaborate with Regional VP of Special Programs and Special Programs Grant and Budget Manager

Required experience:
- High School Diploma, associate or bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Compensation for this role is set at an hourly rate of $10 per hour.
