Intern - Health Services - (Immediate Opening)

Role Mission: Interns will provide administrative and logistical support to the Health & Wellness Department. Most of the work will be remote-based and require reliable Wi-Fi access.

Compensation:    

• Compensation for this role is between $10.00-$12.00 per hour depending on the region.     

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma, enrolled in college
• Able to work 20-25 hours a week
• Strong organizational and communication skills with a positive attitude
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to work a non-traditional schedule (evenings, weekends, select holidays)
• Bilingual Spanish speaker is strongly preferred but not required

Accountabilities:

Data Entry

• Assist campus Health Aides /Nurses in collecting, reviewing, and entering immunization records. Ensure records are compliant on the first day of school.
• Compile, maintain, and file all physical and electronic reports, records, and other documents required, including clinic visits, student action plans, doctor’s orders, etc.

Parent Outreach

• Contact parents via phone call, email, and text message to follow up on immunization records and health information updates
• Share local community resources for families in need
• Identify new community resources and assist with scheduling appointments for families as needed

Registration and Re-registration Support

• Help collect missing documents from families that have not completed the Health & Wellness components within the registration system.
• Partner with the campus operations team to drive current families to complete re-registration by the deadline in the designated period before registration ends.

Other Duties as Assigned

Most of the time on the clock is expected to be in a supportive role with Health & Wellness-related responsibilities. As a member of the Operations Team, you may be asked to support a campus in your region during Beginning of Year (BOY) prep.

Other duties that may be assigned:

• Clinic inventory support
• Package sorting
• Annual Forms Collection
• Event coordination/ Family Communication
• Other as assigned by manager

•          Commitment: May 2023 – August 2023

•          Location: Texas (remote)

•          Compensation: $10-$12 per hour

•          Hours: M-F: hours flexible depending on tasks
