Position Overview
The Emergent Bilingual (EB) Coach in collaboration with the national English Learner team will oversee their regional portfolio of schools in ensuring that they are providing high quality instruction for their EB students and compliance support by coaching teachers and leaders during general classroom support, conducting side by side observations/walkthroughs of instructional environments, providing professional development opportunities for staff, data analysis, lesson plan feedback, and ensuring campuses maintain 100% EB compliance with all state and federal requirements. (This position is partially grant funded, position requires daily accounting/monthly tracking of daily activities)
Location:
This is a full-time position located in the Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa). Preference will be given to candidates who live in the region, or who are willing to relocate.
Travel Expectations: Travel throughout the region
What You’ll Do – Accountabilities
Essential Duties
A Week In the Life:
Time | Description |
20 hours* 50% of time per week | Direct campus support (EB instructional rounds, coaching, trainings/PDs) clearly outlined in calendar.
Campuses should be given clear next steps at the conclusion of these visits |
4 hours* 10% of time per week | Reviewing data and preparing for campus visits and/or conversations specifically for EB |
1.5 hours* ~4% of time per week | Attending EB tactical & EB instructional support meeting |
2.5 hours* 6% of time per week | EB instructional aligned and prioritized tasks (PD prep, update trackers, follow up on campus/leader next steps, calendar work time) |
8 hours 20% of time per week | EB compliance work/support |
1-4 hours ~3-10% of time per week | TBD by region: Examples: tacticals, checkins, step backs, celebrations |

Compensation & Benefits:
Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $78,900 and $92,000, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for performance pay based on organizational performance and goal attainment.
