Position overview
At IDEA Public Schools, we believe in college for ALL and we are committed to ensuring that all our students graduate from college. IDEA has grown from one small school to a large, multi-state network of tuition-free Pre-K-12 public charter schools sending 100% of our students to college with 50% of our students graduating from college in 6 years – that’s 8 times the national rate for students in our communities! As the Executive Director, you will be a member of the Schools Team that lays the foundation and provides the strategic direction for these outcomes to be possible.
In this role, you will ensure successful outcomes for all students, staff, and leaders in Southern Louisiana, with the partnership and support of functional leaders across the organization. You will lead the region to accomplish all measures of student success, staff performance and retention, operational stability, financial stewardship, and board development.
In order to ensure the success of your region, you must be committed to our mission that ALL students are capable of getting to and through college. Additionally, you will be driven by outcomes and results, be willing to make and quickly implement what you learn from mistakes and develop strong cross-departmental relationships. Significant travel will be required across campuses within the region and occasional travel out of region.

Compensation & Benefits
Salaries for this role typically start between $139,554 and $178,629, commensurate with relevant qualifications and experience. This role is also eligible bonus compensation up to 25% based on individual and organizational performance and goal attainment.
